Shunt Reactor

Shunt reactors, also called inductive load reactors, are used in systems that need inductive load.

Long transmission lines, lightings, and UPS and similar devices containing capacitors, which are used to deliver energy to large areas such as industrial zones, campuses, and airports, cause high capacitive reactive energy in systems where they are used. This capacitive reactive energy generated in the energy system causes the efficiency of the machines and tools connected to the system to decrease, their lifespan to decrease, and the undesired maintenance and repair costs of the system. In addition, this situation causes the formation of capacitive reactive fines.

In order to get rid of this situation and to balance and compensate this high capacitive reactive energy in the systems, shunt reactors are connected parallel to the system to create an inductive effect.

As Artsan Energy, we manufacture 1-phase and 3-phase shunt reactors at different voltage and power values according to the needs of the facility to be compensated.
